A FOX AND TWO CATS
One day a fox kid wanted a fish to eat. He asked his father :”Father, I want to eat a fish for dinner. Can you get me one please?” The fox father said :”Well son, I will do my best to find one. Wish me luck, ok?” The fox kid said :”Good luck, father.” Off the fox father went looking for fish.
“Fish live in the river. That’s where I am going.” The fox father said to himself. On the way he saw two cats from a distance. The cats seemed to be fighting over something. He moved closer. They were fighting over a fish! Cat A said :”I saw the fish first, so the fish is mine.” Cat B said :”I smelled the fish first, so it should be mine.”
The fox father approached them :”Hello my cat friends, I was passing by and overheard your arguments. I have the right solution for you.” The cats turned to him :”Let’s hear your solution.” The fox father said :”I will split the fish so each one of you gets a fair share.” The cats agreed.
The father fox cut the fish head and gave it to cat A, the fish tail to cat B. He then ran home taking the meaty fish body for his son. Cat A and cat B soon realized they had been fooled. Had they agreed to share the fish in the first place, they wouldn’t have been taken advantage of by the fox father.
